The Center of the Universe: You!
Here in the PNW, home of the Habibi Bear pup, the Original Teddy Bear dog, we are so excited to share what we learn with you, our Habibi Bear tribe. It is our mission to be a constant advocate for dogs, and expanding dog-human understanding out, not only our corner of the world, but the entire world. We love dogs that much! We are crazy about them! In fact, if you called us obsessed with dogs, we would take it as a compliment.As obsessed as we are with dogs, we equally recognize that your Habibi Bear pup is obsessed with YOU. That’s right! YOU are the bee’s knees, the cream of the crop, the cherry on the top, the most important person in the universe to your Habibi Bear puppy. Every day they spend with you is their best day ever! Think about how excited your Habibi Bear puppy is to see you when you come home after a long day at work or out running errands. They know the sound of your car! They even know the sound of your footsteps! Do you know what your puppy’s favorite smell in the whole wide world is…. It is YOU! Being next to you makes puppy feel safe, and being spoken to by you is the music that sets their little Habibi Bear hearts on fire. In fact, in numerous scientific studies, it has been shown time and time again, that praise from you to your pup is as effective as a high value treat! That is pretty impressive.
I am not in any way suggesting that we stop using treats as a reward as we help our Habibi puppies on their way to better puppy citizenship. I mention this because I really want to emphasize just how important we are to our Habibi Bear puppies, we are the center of the world to them, and we consider it an honor to be loved on such an unconditional level. No matter what issues you struggle with, your Habibi Bear puppy is right there next to you to give you love and affection. Your Habibi Bear pup sees your beautiful Divine essence, and responds accordingly. Your Habibi Bear puppy doesn’t care about exterior appearances or social status, if they have a fancy bed or the newest dog toys. The most important thing to your Habibi Bear pup is spending quality time with you and your family.
We can return the love by being present with our Habibi Bear puppies while walking them or playing with them without our phones. We can keep to a schedule which reinforces their love of structure and routine. We can go on new adventures together, or perhaps even learn new things, like agility, together, which reinforces our working bond with our dogs. Even reading out loud to a dog is a bonding experience and raises the feel good hormones for everyone all the way around. If you haven’t tried it yet, include your Habibi Bear dog in your morning or evening mindfulness practice! We have heard back from a few clients that their pups love to get in a morning meditation session. Take time to enjoy their precious presence in your life on a daily basis, and reap the sweet reward of your Habibi Bear puppy’s love and devotion.
